Marco Oppedisano is a composer and avant-guitarist who combines gorgeous classical structures with dynamic and experimental techniques. Bill Byrne is one half of the Painful Leg Injuries, and adds a dense noisy wall of sci-fi inspired drones to the mix. John Ibarra performs as El Plan De Aguavodka who is a tape-mulcher who treats his serene samples and field recordings to a psychedelic freak-out.

Together the trio combine Oppedisano's lovely electroacoustic style of improvisation with the dense wall of noise of the Painful Leg Injuries, while El Plan De Aguavodka's quirky twists provide unexpected moments. The group's intention is play as one unpredictable unit without concessions to the individual performers' egos and ultimate create music of one mind without the demands of a composer. The trio follows the tradition of EAI from bands like AMM, MEV, Spontaneous Music Ensemble, Gruppo Di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza Azioni, and MIMEO. The trio performed their debut at NYC's The Monkey on 2/17/07 to wide acclaim. A recordings of this performance and recordings made during their rehearsals will comprise their debut album Retiring To Palermo To Make Apple Whine set for release in the Summer of 2007.
