Personnel - Jonah Goldstein and Bill Byrne

In 2003, Bill Byrne and Jonah Goldstein started making music together again. These childhood friends began recording various projects in their early teens. When they briefly found themselves living on the same coast again, they could not resist the temptation to get the band back together. While Goldstein makes music on his own as the Unevenness of the Moon's Surface and Byrne as the Painful Leg Injuries, their collaborations are very different. The Harmful Free Radicals make song-based music for the post-electronic, post-freak folk, post-indie rock and post-noise world. Though The Harmful Free Radicals make music that has been likened to the musical offspring of David Sylvain, Tom Waits and Animal Collective, their music embodies the spirit of trailblazing experimentation and creating an original sensibility and singular vision. Their first album, The Duplicate Factories of Washington State, has been in production since '03 and is expected in early '07. Re-imagining the future of music takes time.
