First, I'd like announce the next release on OKS Recordings of North America, our first label compilation. A high concept affair at that, El Plan De Aguavodka, The Painful Leg Injuries and The Unevenness of the Moon's Surface each recorded 15 one minute tracks about geology, biology, chemistry and physics. The comp will be called Men In White Coats and it will be available at CD Baby before the end of July.
This week is the sixth and final episode of the Painful Leg Injuries podcast series Return to the Four Chambers. Me As An Old Man In Palermo Sipping On Espresso Watching the Children Play began with a recording I made of two men playing a violin and accordian. I became fascinated with it and this image I had in my mind. It was this daydream I had of myself as old man...etc. Next week I will begin my next series, of compositions made from hand drawn audio waveforms, Chickens Scatching .
El Plan De Aguavodka latest explores our sociological acceptance of inevitability of the end. I Can't Wait To Perish In This Apocalypse is a nightmare journey of an Atari 2600 play carousel music in a dryer. Lovely, if this is the end, bring it on.
The Unevenness of Moon's Surface may continue to be out of action for bit, Jonah's laptop has taken an unfortunate turn. We'll all pratice good luck ritual for the return of his powerbook.
