Monday, February 19, 2007Update 2/19 A big thank you to everyone who came out and supported us at The Monkey on Saturday night. The place was packed and I believe it was sold out. We had a great time and enjoyed the fantastic opportunity to play for such a great audience. Stay tuned to this site for video, and music from this show.2/17 was also the live debut of yours truly, John Ibarra's and Marco Oppedisano's electroacoustic improvising trio, BIOS. We have recorded a full length album, and you can check out a sample track Shut Your Eyes and Burst Into Flames. A new Painful Leg Injuries Podcast series begins this week, Commercial Music Chopped and Screwed. Helps Support A Healthy Lifestyle is made up sections of music I've composed for my work as a television commercial editor. Recently, I read in The Wire about DJ Screw's style of remixing known in the hip-hop community as chopped and screwed. I could not resist applying it to my TV music. El Plan De Aguavodka continues his great series of warped marker recordings with Charcoal Study of Pablo's La Vie Part 4. Those of you who came out on Saturday night had the chance to witness John's live debut, and his performance of this material was wild, and highly enjoyable. Take care and enjoy your President's day.
