The Painful Leg Injuries contributed three exclusive tracks as part of the Nektar VII web-only compilation.

Each track deals with issues of death, mutation and transformation, check them I hope you enjoy them.

"Rubbing Buddha's Belly Until You Get To His Stomach" -
A very distorted FM3 Buddha Machine meets a cassette tape I found of horror film sfx.

"Knock, Knock Who's There? The Inevitable" - A warped field recording of homeless guys playing "Knocking On Heaven's Door" backed by PLI.

"The Witches Provoked The Lions Before Stuffing Their Wardrobes" - Field recording of Macy's holiday display where visitors triggered a lion roar sound effect.

Enjoy.

Update 2/19

A big thank you to everyone who came out and supported us at The Monkey on Saturday night. The place was packed and I believe it was sold out. We had a great time and enjoyed the fantastic opportunity to play for such a great audience. Stay tuned to this site for video, and music from this show.

2/17 was also the live debut of yours truly, John Ibarra's and Marco Oppedisano's electroacoustic improvising trio, BIOS. We have recorded a full length album, and you can check out a sample track Shut Your Eyes and Burst Into Flames.

A new Painful Leg Injuries Podcast series begins this week, Commercial Music Chopped and Screwed. Helps Support A Healthy Lifestyle is made up sections of music I've composed for my work as a television commercial editor. Recently, I read in The Wire about DJ Screw's style of remixing known in the hip-hop community as chopped and screwed. I could not resist applying it to my TV music.

El Plan De Aguavodka continues his great series of warped marker recordings with Charcoal Study of Pablo's La Vie Part 4. Those of you who came out on Saturday night had the chance to witness John's live debut, and his performance of this material was wild, and highly enjoyable.

Take care and enjoy your President's day.

El Plan De Aguavodka's podcast this week is garden of crystals, the third part of his latest series Charcoal Study of Pablo's La Vie. The Painful Leg Injuries conclude the Pretentious One Man Band series this week with the 6th part. Thanks to everyone for listening next week, for my next series I remix music I've made for TV commercials in PLI's 16th podcast series, Commercial Music Chopped and Screwed. Jez Stevens' podcast will return soon.

Have a great week and I hope to see you this Saturday.

Update 2/5

As the east coast is under the deep freeze, this week's podcasts will likely take you to a darker more frozen cavern.

El Plan De Aguavodka's latest Charcoal Study of Pablo's La Vie Part 2 is a massive, dark journey into a void you are not likely to come out of the same way. The Painful Leg Injuries' fifth part of the Pretentious One Man Band series is like a severe weather event augmented by the trumpets of the apocalypse.

More new podcasts next week, until then take care.
