Update 8/27

This week, the El Plan De Aguavodka podcast returns from hiatus, with I am the city and you are the city too (I have to get away from the city) a electroacoustic-noise kiss off to New Age ideas, welcome back, John. Once again John expertly manages tension and pleasant atmosphere in a lovely, balanced piece.

You can now find our two new podcasts, The Little Ricky's House of Chankletas and Alex Spalding podcasts in the iTunes podcast directory.

The latest from Little Ricky's Whole-Wheat Miscarriage is a bad trip in the dark with a predator in an over-sized amusement park costume trying to track you down. Alex Spalding's latest collage of synth-driven mass media noise, Vacuum-ing I takes a visit with the ghosts in your Beta-Max.

Finally, the Painful Leg Injuries give another dose of retro-early 90's Gameboy sound by way of Albert Ayler with ICGB2, the second episode of my latest series, Instant Compositions for Gameboy.

Until next week, enjoy.

Update 8/20

Welcome back, everyone!

Well, if you haven't come by the site in a while, we've been on a hiatus with the updates, because my wife Suzanne and I have just moved to Austin, TX, a city famous for, among many other things, the highest urban bat population. Well we've settled in and I can now return to updating this site, and
the Painful Leg Injuries Podcast has resumed with weekly episodes.

This week's episode is the beginning of the 19th series,
Instant Compositions For Gameboy. I composed these pieces on my Little Sound DJ cartridge, which is an excellent piece of software, regardless of your feelings about 8 bit music. I made these as quickly as possible to try out the idea of improvising on a tool meant for composing. I find that while traveling, the only thing I can do to make being a passenger tolerable.

You'll also notice two new weekly podcasts beginning this week. Noise Joy label runner,
Alex Spalding, an industrial-noisician, joins the family with a series of Microkorg-driving samples of mass media starting with Fixed. Noise Joy and OKSRNA have mutual thing going on, look for net-download releases from the Painful Leg Injuries and BIOS on Noise Joy. The Alex Spalding Podcast will not be available at the iTunes podcast directory yet, but you can subscribe by copying and pasting this feed http://www.oksrecordingsofnorthamerica.com/
podcast/as/as_podcast.xml

into your iTunes under Advanced>Subscribe to Podcast.

Also, our love-able, Santa Claus suit wearing, classical-jazz-electronic-wiz-kids,
Little Ricky's House of Chankletas have begun their podcast. These guys are reinventing the whole of idea of weird music. The first episode is 1 to 4 Meets Seven, you'll love it. Just as before, since it's new, The Little Ricky's House of Chankletas Podcast will not be available at the iTunes podcast directory yet, but you can subscribe by copying and pasting this feed http://www.oksrecordingsofnorthamerica.com
/podcast/lrhc/lrhc_podcast.xml

into your iTunes under Advanced>Subscribe to Podcast.

El Plan De Aguavodka's Podcast will return next week, when John returns from his summer of globe-trotting.

Also, I hope you like the new design of our website. Stay tuned, and welcome back.

Startling Moniker Reviews Little Ricky's House of Chankletas' CD!

Check out Startling Moniker's review of Little Ricky's House of Chankletas' new album. Thanks again to Dave X for supporting us! Also, he's been playing Marco's, Little Ricky's and PLI music on his show, "It's Too Damn Early" so if you can, check out his show.

Our podcasts return on August 20th. In the meantime I'm getting settled in Austin, buying all kinds of gadgets and whatnot from the abundant Goodwill and Salvation Army stores around here.

2007 holds still more releases from our crazy little label. Next up is the debut of BIOS an electroacoustic improv trio of myself, John Ibarra (of El Plan De Aguavodka) and the mighty Marco Oppedisano, which is called Retiring To Palermo To Make Apple Whine. Also the debut of Jonah Goldstein's (of The Unevenness of the Moon's Surface) and my pop group, The Harmful Free Radicals and album will be called the Duplicate Factories of Washington State.

We will return soon.
